These courses build children’s confidence and gives them skills to handle potential threats when walking to and from school.

Parents gain peace of mind knowing their children can recognise and respond appropriately to danger.

I also run a ladies’ self-defence course that empowers women to protect themselves and stay safe.

The course covers awareness, fear management, relevant laws, and simple, effective self-defence techniques for real-world situations.

I hold multiple martial arts grades and BTEC Level 3 qualifications in Self Defence Tuition and Conflict Management.

Both qualifications were awarded by the National Federation for Personal Safety, a highly respected training organisation in the security industry.

Why School Years 5, 6 and 7?

I remember the panic when my son first asked to walk to school alone. How could I keep him safe?

The thought terrified me, but I knew I had to let him grow independent. I wanted to make his journey safer.

I considered possible situations he might face and taught him awareness, fear control, legal options, and practical self-defence techniques.

Once he had this knowledge, I felt calmer knowing he could act confidently instead of feeling helpless if threatened.

It then struck me that I couldn’t be alone in feeling that way, surely other parents go through the same panic as I did?

I spoke to other parents and found out that they had exactly the same fears as myself. I told them about the training I had given my son and would they be interested in the same training?

The answer was yes, so I developed my son’s training into a four-week course for children walking to school independently.

To date (October 2025) I have taught over 700 school children since I began developing the course in 2019.
