Terms and Conditions – Kids & Teens Courses

1. Definitions
- You: The parent or guardian of the child attending the training, who is completing the booking form.
- Fortis PST: The organisation providing the training.
- Attendee / Child: The young person taking part in the course.
2. Health and Safety
- Our instructors take every reasonable step to prevent injuries and reduce the risk of accidents. However, like any physical activity, self-defence training carries some risk, and we cannot guarantee complete safety.
- By booking, you confirm that your child is physically and mentally fit to take part in the training, and you understand the potential risks involved.
- You and your child agree to follow all instructions and safety guidance given by Fortis PST instructors.
3. Trainer Illness or Emergency
- If an instructor is unwell or unavailable, we will aim to provide a suitable replacement.
- If no replacement is available or travel conditions are unsafe, we may cancel the session and work with you to rearrange a suitable date.

5. Cancelling or Postponing a Booking
If you cancel after confirming your booking, the following charges will apply:
- More than 28 days before the course: 50% refund
- 14–27 days before the course: 25% refund
- Less than 14 days before the course: No refund
We understand that unexpected things happen and will try to be flexible where possible.
6. Refunds and Course Cancellations
- We reserve the right to cancel a course. If this happens, you may reschedule or request a full refund.
- This policy does not affect your legal rights under consumer law.
7. Course Materials and Copyright
- All course materials remain the property of Fortis PST and are protected by copyright.
- Materials are for personal use only and must not be copied, edited, shared, or used for commercial training without written permission.
- If you or your organisation prints course materials, copyright still belongs to Fortis PST.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Fortis PST is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to personal belongings during the course. Items are brought at your own risk.
- If we are found liable for loss or damage (excluding death or injury), compensation will be limited to a reasonable amount based on the circumstances and our responsibility.
9. Photography and Video
- Photography or video recording during classes is not allowed. This includes anyone accompanying you.
- We may occasionally take photos or video clips for use in promotional materials such as flyers or social media.
- You can opt out by ticking the relevant box on the booking form. If you do not opt out, you give permission for us to use your child’s image, voice or likeness for these purposes.
